Visited this spot on our way through town and So glad we did! Talk about delish!
I had the Philly Fries and would recommend them every time! They take all the goodness of their Phillys and make some sort of magical Philly and Fries nacho type concoction and it is great!
Fair warning, this place is very small and quite warm as you sit at a bar where they cook everything right in front of you, which is honestly pretty cool! There are some spots outside though and I'm sure that's a perfect option for anyone not looking to be too toasty! For drinks there were just canned sodas, this gave the place a very small town--home town feel, but I am not going to lie, I would've loved a fountain drink at that moment in my life.
I would absolutely recommend Mamas Phried and Philly to anyone looking for a Philly Fix!
I have also seen great things about their fried chicken! That might have to be tried next time!(if I can talk myself out of those Philly Fries!) -

I visited Mama's on a road trip to go see Mt. Rushmore and I am here to say that every one of you visiting South Dakota may as well stop and get ya a Philly.
If you are going to Rushmore, stop by Mama's first, or second, or both it all works.
Yes, I am aware that Mt. Rushmore is literally on the opposite side of the state but LISTEN TO ME! Take ya a bonus day, drive that 80Mph speed limit interstate highway, count the roughly 28-billion billboards promoting "Wall Drug" and get to Sioux Falls.
Once you get there, saunter in like you own the place, (in like a nice way, not like a jerk boss way) find yourself a stool, (Bar stool preferably) and order a Philly Cheesesteak with the swizzle.
The swizzle is a combo of Swiss and CHEESE WIZZ. NO I AM NOT KIDDING AND MY CAPS LOCK IS STUCK....
Okay that's better, where was I?
Right the cheesesteak, Wow, just wow. I literally can't even describe it, but I must try.
The steak itself is as if heaven decided that one particular cow would be the tastiest in all the land and gave it to Mamma's Phried and Phillies...
You may be sad that now this special cow is gone, but fret not my friends, it seems to me that the special cow had babies and now Mama's will have an eternal run of...dare I say...Heavenly good beef...
You watch them cook the entire thing right in front of you (The place ain't big) as the master cook, who thought he was just driving through Sioux Falls and ended up staying for, I'm guessing a minimum of 18 years, makes everything fresh as you stare on, in ever growing hunger.
Do not miss out on Heaven...and don't miss out on Mama's
My wife says the fries sent her on an "Amaze Train" -

I absolutely adore this place! Definitely a great place to hit up for a filling lunch or an after-work chicken snack. Their fried chicken is superb: super flavorful, juicy, crispy and SO AFFORDABLE.
I used to spend a good 6+ weeks in Sioux Falls every year for work and this was one of my all-time favorite spots that still occasionally haunts my dreams. Not ashamed at all to admit that I'd sometimes take breaks from work in the afternoon to stroll over and grab a chicken leg to go that I'd eat on my walk back to the office. -

Home owned feel. Good prices. Liked the small ambience. Had the philly and fries, could have had 2 to fill me up, lunch portions to be kind. It was hot off the grill and fryer and in my belly.

Didn't expect to find great Philly cheesesteaks in South Dakota. But these guys surprised me. The bread is super soft and just right. The fries are seasoned and just round out a perfect lunch. I came here twice during my visit it was that good. Definitely the beat Dakota cheesesteak you will find.
